We are looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst to join our growing team in Montreal. The QA Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the quality of both client and internal Gorilla web based projects while maintaining the highest levels of quality. The Sr. QA Analyst will contribute to the development, execution, and maintenance of test procedures that thoroughly test our web products.

Responsibilities

  • Perform functional, usability and compatibility testing for Ecommerce web applications
  • Execute end to end / integration testing between Ecommerce system and third party systems
  • Performance / Load testing
  • Build testing sprint plan, identifying what test cases to execute within each sprint
  • Proactive status reporting to Project Manager
  • Create, track, retest, and traffic software defects in designated defect tracking tool
  • Communicate issues to management that may pose any risk to quality
  • Work closely with development and project management staff to identify appropriate plan for issue resolution and retest
  • Troubleshoot defects and provide suggestions on resolutions
  • Input detailed documentation of defects in our bug tracking tool and share findings with the development team as necessary
  • Learn and understand supported platforms
  • Ability to multi-task across multiple projects
  • Work and collaborate with team members across regions (North America and Europe)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree within the technical field (i.e. Engineering, CIS, MIS, etc.)
  • 4+ years of experience in quality assurance, production support, or technical support environments.
  • Must demonstrate ability to create and execute test cases independently
  • Solid understanding of website QA processes, methodologies, and best practices
  • Able to interpret results, identify trends and communicate findings appropriately
  • Ability to perform testing against web based applications both from the front-end UI as well as back-end databases and API’s
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills along with solid experience using at least one defect tracking tool

Preferred

  • Experience working with eCommerce platforms including Magento, hybris, ATG, etc.
  • Experience testing third party extension
  • Experience with any functional automation tool such as Selenium
  • Experience with JMeter for load testing
